Fuel Delivery Services

Running out of fuel is inconvenient, and it can be dangerous too, especially if you’re on a remote or busy road, or traveling at night. It happens to lots of people, though, particularly with rental cars, which are unfamiliar, or when people are driving in a new area and there aren’t many gas stations to choose from.
If you’re out of fuel, give us a call right away, so we can come to you to help. Our operators will need some basic information about where you are, so we can find you. If you’re vulnerable for any reason, or traveling with children, please do tell us so we can prioritize your call.
Our Fuel Delivery Service
Firstly, if you run out of fuel on the roadside, don’t panic. It has happened to many of us – but McAllen Towing & Roadside Assistance can come to help if you’re stuck without fuel, in our area. If you find yourself in trouble, give us a call right away.
Our call handlers will ask about where you are, what vehicle you’re in, and how best to find you. We will be able to estimate how long it will take to get to you, and can advise on how best to stay safe while you wait for a fuel delivery.
What To Do If You’Re Running Low On Fuel
If your fuel levels are dangerously low there are a few steps you can take before you completely run out. Firstly, drive at a steady pace, not too fast, to conserve gas. If your vehicle is low or has ran out of gas, and worried your car might stop abruptly and in an unsafe area, put the hazard warning lights. Don’t worry about your vehicle getting a dead battery, we can help with that too.
This alerts other drivers to the fact that you’re experiencing problems. However, if you run out of fuel completely, you’ll need to get off the road quickly. Watch out for places to safely stop, and off road areas where you can call McAllen Towing & Roadside Assistance for help.
What To Do If You’Re Stranded And Out Of Fuel
When you call us we can advise you on how best to stay safe while you wait for fuel, as it depends a lot on where you happen to be. If you are out of fuel on a busy road, we will usually advise you to stay in the car. Unfortunately many people every year are injured and killed in the US when they get out and wait near or behind their broken down vehicle.
If you’re somewhere where there is a safe, off road area to pull over or go and wait, we will talk this through with you and assess if going there is a better option. Give our call handlers as much information as you can so they can advise you, and we will come to you as quickly as possible.
What If We Can’T Get Your Car Going Again?
It’s usually easy enough to get your vehicle back on the road if you have simply run out of gas. However, if your fuel pump has sucked up dirt as the tank emptied, this might need to be cleaned before the car can be safely driven. Similarly, if you are a diesel car driver, do let us know, as your car might need some more attention before starting up again.
If simply filling up your gas fuel tank isn’t enough, and a member of the team from McAllen Towing & Roadside Assistance can’t help at the roadside, we will take you to a garage of our recommendation, your home, or your regular mechanic.
